The Anonymous movie Top Ten
Look, you close with the question:
Can you live in that moment, as best you can, with clear eyes and love in your heart? With joy in your heart?
While you are “very, very angry”? I don’t know, I’m inclined to doubt it. But I’m pretty sure that if, as you claim, you “don’t forgive” you can’t.
That’s just not the way “love in your heart” works.

Okay, we got — what?

All. Men.

There’s some “female” mechanical voice in there — but basically I think you just won point, set and match, Cheryl.

I watched the Anonymous video after RT got hacked…that pissed them off though it was entirely predictable that sooner or later after years of whining that the Kremlin allegedly uses hackers a group of Estonian or Lithiuanian hackers (for offshore plausible deniability) would start attacking prominent Russian websites, all with a certain Authoritarian Right clique cheering them on Twitter. (Incidentally, don’t even try to edit certain pages on Russia related topics on Wikipedia, somebody in Estonia stands guard over them day and night — specifically referring to erasure of Walter Isaacson’s ‘we must not be outcommunicated by our enemies’ comment about RT down the Wiki memory hole and any attempts to touch the Wiki page for that noted enthusiast of ethnic separatism in Russia, Paul Goble).
.
And then there are the great swarms on Twitter…you might call them two legged drones…obsessed with the arrest, prosecution or even execution of Julian Assange, to the point they’d cheer on the British taking an Ayotollah Khomeini sized dump on the Vienna Conventions just to haul Assange away.
.
Among the other activities of these Establishment-worshipping Twitter swarms that are into such things as denial of atrocities by the Free Syria Army (to the absurd point that FSA gunmen posing with priestly vestments are said to be friendly with Christians rather than looting their churches), pro-BigSis sycophancy (one example I’m about to mention actually tweets to Homeland Security asking if they have a smartphone compatible feed or somesuch) and perhaps most oddly, conspiracy theorizing about conspiracy theorists and 9-11 Trutherism of the eternal Cold Warrior variety (i.e. blaming the Russians or German intelligence for that dark day).
.
I give you ladies and gentlemen: @ReginaldQuill in all his glory. A man who can sneer at Glenn Beck or Alex Jones’ theories about George Soros and the New World Order and then turn around and seek to connect the dots between them and the late Willis Carto, the Kremlin, the KKK, and the ‘neo-Confederate hayride that is the Ron Paul campaign.’
.
I only started following Quill in part because I got very curious indeed whether he represented the beta testing of certain memes by BigSis contractors…I could care less who he is and am not interested in ‘outing’ anyone as I too value anonymity online in these days when Marines get dragged away to aslyums for Facebook posts someone didn’t like.
.
Some of @ReginaldQuill’s themes are the stuff of the MIAC reports that list conservatives, libertarians, returning veterans and gun owners as the primary terrorist threat now that Al-Qaeda has either been defeated or ‘joined the good guys’ in Syria. Speaking of which, CointelproReggie is in total denial about the Muslim Brotherhood/Al-Qaeda either infiltrating or downright dominating the Syrian rebels to the Assad regime (see Der Spiegel for a non Anglo-American, non-Russian news source), and their demonstrated torture, murder of non-combatants, and the ease with which FSA massacre civilians and attempt to pin the slayings on the regime (not that Assadists haven’t massacred anyone, just that both sides are doing it). The dark cynic in me thinks Obama and Romney’s lockstep declaration that the U.S. will intervene if chemical weapons are deployed despite the regime insisting it will never use them domestically is a Mob Boss saying, ‘will someone please do me a favor?’ to the Street.
.
And Charles you did send me an email about a comment I posted that got garbled. Needless to say Twitter feeds copied and pasted do not mix with this blog’s software. I only direct your attention to these types because, although they in fact present theories every bit as looney as those they attack if not more so, their conspiracies are all suspiciously tending in a pro-Homeland Security build up justifying direction. Even websites like the Ulsterman Report which have been at the epicenter of the ‘Obama will stage a coup’ theories have threads that get hijacked by Ron Paul haters who appear to get paid by the post. That indeed is the essence of the verb to Sunstein (named for Cass Sunstein who wrote that at the very least the government should infiltrate ‘conspiracy theorist’ circles and cause maximum ‘cognitive dissonance’. In short, the goal is to get one’s political enemies all arguing with each other. Divide and conquer. As old as Rome and bread and circuses.

I hope you understand I don’t intend to monopolize the threads here, only to post where I have something relevant to say and where my interests in how memes and ideas spread overlap with those of Charles and Zen. And I hope Zen will produce a ‘Creepy State is Here – Part Two’ post referencing the growing Sovietzation of American psychiatry combined with the Eye of Sauron in Facebook/Twitter/NSA-Gov-oogle et al.

Subverting the Totalitarian State | One of the earliest earliest film political propaganda mash-up is said to be Charles A Ridley’s editing, for the British Ministry of Information in 1941, of sections of Leni Riefenstahl’s Triumph of the Will to the tune, and imitating the walking line dance, of ‘The Lambeth Walk.’ The tune and dance were an international craze. In October 1938, the London Times reported that “While dictators rage and statesmen talk, all Europe dances – to The Lambeth Walk.” Early in 1939, an SA Mann gave a speech on the “revolution of private life” as the National Socialist Party’s next big task. As an example, he cited the Lambeth Walk as a piece of “Jewish mischief and animalistic hopping.”
.
The propaganda film was distributed uncredited to newsreel companies, who would supply their own introductory and closing narration. The work is said to have sufficiently enraged Joseph Goebbels that reportedly he ran out of the screening room kicking chairs and screaming profanities. Versions on YouTube, “Sichlegruber doing the Lambeth Walk,” British Pathe, “Hoch Der Lambeth Walk,” or another print, prepared by Universal Studios as “Gen Adolph Takes Over,” which can either be viewed or downloaded at the Internet Archive.

Nice analysis, Charles.
.
I’m fascinated by the longevity of Network, given the short-term memory most folks have of Hollywood.

It is always funny to note that, given enough time, the most active people and groups fade away. Yes, they do.

“…threads that get hijacked by Ron Paul haters who appear to get paid by the post.”
*
There are Ron Paul haters?
*
To conservatives, Ron Paul is a reminder how liberal they have become. I don’t think conservatives hate him, they only which they had the same ethics, and so ignore him, because they know it will never be. The liberal don’t hate him, because he doesn’t mean a thing to them.

“the most active people and groups fade away.”
*
I don’t think they fade away, it’s called death. Everyone dies, very few live (paraphrase “Braveheart” the movie”).
*
The most active people/groups fade away, I am thinking that all the rest become zombies. Have you killed any zombies lately? It seems to be a favorite American past time.

The ‘V for Vendetta Mask’ – in addition to offering the thrill of anonymity, I have wondered if some of the recent success of this image might be it’s accessing, unconsciously, the positive primitive affects from a TV childhood, Sesame Street’s Count von Count.
