On Friendfeed Requests
Some of you – ok, a whole lot of you – have made Friendfeed subscription requests of me in the last few weeks to which I have not responded (Friendfeed is an app that manages your social networking conversations). This is intentional but not personal toward anyone.
I tried Friendfeed as a result of being on Twitter back when Robert Scoble was tweeting and blogging about Friendfeed nonstop, which piqued my curiousity. I found the format then to be annoying ( the interface may have changed in the interim) and no one I knew was using the service at the time so, after a few days, I let the account go dormant. No offense, Friendfeed may be the new 2.0 sliced bread, but I don’t have the time right now to go straighten out my account and use yet another social media platform. Maybe during the summer when I have some downtime I’ll give Friendfeed a second chance – at the moment it isn’t even on the radar.

Funny. I received around 20 Friend Feed friend requests over the last couple of weeks. I haven’t logged on to FF in over a year.
I smell shenanigans. Contact list spam released by a flagging site? They were all contacts from Twitter, come to think of it.

Hi,
I must be one of those requests 😉 I wanted to keep track of your activity (blog posts, twitter, etc) from FF itself, that’s all. You can use FF passively to publish your activity, or actively to participate in the community.
Will keep an eye on your Twitter stream for now (which is unfortunately difficult to follow compared to FF).

Hi,
I know what you mean about the interface being crappy. A few weeks ago they revamped the interface, much more user-friendly, and also added friend finding capabilities on the doorstep of the site, so you can find people from Twitter, Gmail, and Facebook, easily. This is probably why the burst in requests has occurred recently. Hopefully, you might come around and check it out this summer, think you might enjoy it much more than you did in prior experiences.

I would try Seesmic Desktop. It’s a Twitter App but you can interact with your Facebook friends, too.
