Heh. Regarding the crappy and buggy formatting performance of the comment field here that JF terms “the worst on the internet”, I’ll be happy to take suggestions for a new, no-hassle, plug-in that works well with wordpress. There were trade-off issues involved with what was available at the time of the last site redesign and I rejected options that were actually, if it is to be believed, worse. I would like to do some post holiday tweaking of the site and if there are better things out there, I’ll see if they can be used to replace the current plug-in.

that said, a lot of the cool kids are using Disqus [http://disqus.com/] these days…

I strongly recommend Disqus.By the way, it’s not possible to comment on your posts from my android phone. I’m unable to focus into this text area. If you’re getting a lot of mobile web traffic (check in analytics), you should consider installing a mobile-friendly wordpress plugin.

Excellent point! Thank you. Mobile was not even a consideration when I started blogging and now it is increasingly large % of internet traffic. Even more so outside of the US

BTW I did look at Disqus yesterday – it may be the answer. I also need to make some minor changes to the template
