I’m currently reading the very impressive Shield of Achilles by Philip Bobbitt and yesterday felt compelled to purchase Simon Sebag Montefiore’s monumental Stalin: In The Court Of The Red Tsar and On The Origins Of War by Donald Kagan.

The less time I have to read, the more books I buy.

LOL ! True, true, Though I tend to be the lender rather than the borrower since I’m seriously running out of shelf space

Tell me about it. And I get free books all the time as well…

I really, really disliked The Shield of Achilles, but I can’t for the life of me remember why (I read it in the haze of dissertation writing). I think I thought it didn’t have anything new to say, but I can’t confirm that :-(.
