{"id":1669,"date":"2006-02-28T03:30:00","date_gmt":"2006-02-28T03:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zenpundit.com\/?p=1669"},"modified":"2006-02-28T03:30:00","modified_gmt":"2006-02-28T03:30:00","slug":"1669","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zenpundit.com\/?p=1669","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>BIBLIOMANIA<\/b><\/p>\n<p>My book buying, which is now beyond all sensible bounds, has led me to pick up Admiral Stansfield Turner&#8217;s new <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1400101816\/qid=1141097701\/sr=1-1\/ref=sr_1_1\/103-9223571-7651805?s=books&#038;v=glance&amp;n=283155\">Burn Before Reading: Presidents, CIA Directors And Secret Intelligence<\/a><\/em><\/strong> and I find I like Admiral Turner far more as a popular historian and commentator on Intelligence than I liked him as DCI.  While I am familiar with most of the stories Turner is relating, in every case he throws in some nuggets that I have never heard before; I guess being a former DCI opens a lot of doors when you are researching a book.
