Sonny&#8217;s series is written as a refutation of &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.armedforcesjournal.com\/2006\/04\/1813800\/\">Bloodless theories, bloody wars; Easy-win concepts crumble in combat<\/a>&#8220;, a highly critical piece by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ralph_Peters\">Ralph Peters<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steve DeAngelis<\/strong> of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/enterpriseresilienceblog.typepad.com\/enterprise_resilience_man\/\">ERMB<\/a><\/strong> explains &#8220;Development -in-a-Box&#8221; in <a href=\"http:\/\/enterpriseresilienceblog.typepad.com\/enterprise_resilience_man\/2006\/06\/applying_maslow.html\">the context of Maslow&#8217;s Hierarchy of Needs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Earl<\/strong> of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.prometheus6.org\/\">Prometheus6<\/a><\/strong>, unlike most of us, has some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prometheus6.org\/node\/13066\"><strong><em>firsthand experience<\/em><\/strong> with the big IC\/NYT story <\/a>of the day.<\/p>\n<p>This next one was fun. At least for me, and highly recommended:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Curzon<\/strong> of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cominganarchy.com\/\"><strong>Coming Anarchy<\/strong> <\/a>unsheathes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cominganarchy.com\/archives\/2006\/06\/22\/the-anti-kaplan-fisked\/#more-1974\">dagger and sword to avenge Coming Anarchy&#8217;s patron saint, <strong>Robert Kaplan<\/strong><\/a>, from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vqronline.org\/articles\/2006\/summer\/bissell-euphoria-perrier\/\">a somewhat prissy and and faux-intellectual <\/a>attack job. Defending Kaplan brings out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cominganarchy.com\/archives\/2005\/05\/17\/403\/\">Curzon&#8217;s more creative powers of rebuttal <\/a>and this post does not disappoint.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bill Petti<\/strong> of <a href=\"http:\/\/duckofminerva.blogspot.com\/\"><strong>The Duck of Minerva<\/strong> <\/a>and I probably would not agree on all aspects of foreign policy but <a href=\"http:\/\/duckofminerva.blogspot.com\/2006\/06\/signaling-and-grand-strategy-or-why.html\">I like the way he chooses to frame his analysis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/purpleslog.wordpress.com\/\">PurpleSlog<\/a><\/strong> coins <a href=\"http:\/\/purpleslog.wordpress.com\/2006\/06\/23\/anti-anti-islamofascist-expose-us-intelligence-operation-on-international-financing\/\">a phrase that will create instant arguments, <\/a>regardless of the merits of the underlying issue.
