Time to begin:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"431\" src=\"http:\/\/vig-fp.pearsoned.co.uk\/bigcovers\/0321525655.jpg\" height=\"526\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0321525655?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=zenpundit-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=0321525655\"><strong>Presentation Zen: Simple Ideas on Presentation Design and Delivery (Voices That Matter)<\/strong><\/a><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" width=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=zenpundit-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0321525655\" height=\"1\" style=\"margin: 0px; border: medium none\" \/><\/strong>\u00a0by <strong>Garr Reynolds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.presentationzen.com\/\">Garr Reynolds<\/a><\/strong> has done more than write a book about design; he has taken <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Zen\">Zen<\/a> principles and used them to design\u00a0the book that he wrote. <em><strong>Zen Presentation<\/strong><\/em> is an aesthetic pleasure to read, a truly beautiful book where the author walked his talk.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, Reynolds will show you how you can make your\u00a0slideware presentations better but <strong><em>Presentation Zen<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is really more than that; it&#8217;s about effective communication.\u00a0 Understanding your own message and then\u00a0crafting an authentic and persuasive vision. The principles Reynolds articulates while discussing sound design\u00a0work equally well for the writer, the artist, the salesman or the organizational leader. Here are a few sections particularly worth your time to read:<\/p>\n<p><strong>What makes Messages Stick?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Art of Working With Restrictions<\/strong> ( all the Boydians out there will grasp this\u00a0concept immediately)\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Two Questions: What&#8217;s your Point? Why Does it\u00a0 Matter ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kanso, Shizen, Shibumi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Signal to Noise Ratio<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Need for Solitude<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Many times, as the text itself is intentionally broken up visually by images and white space, I found myself reflecting at length\u00a0on the implications of the passage before moving on to the next.
