The blurbs on the dust jacket are from some\u00a0genuine\u00a0heavyweights (and provoked an amusing academic <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.foreignpolicy.com\/articles\/2010\/08\/13\/grand_strategic_failure?page=0,1\">political tantrum masquerading as a review <\/a>\u00a0in <strong>FP.com<\/strong> from some minor departmental nemesis of Hill&#8217;s at <strong>Yale<\/strong>, where Hill is one of the founding\u00a0lecturers\u00a0of their <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/committeeofpublicsafety.wordpress.com\/2009\/12\/14\/grand-strategy-for-yalies\/\">Grand Strategy Program<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>I will upjump this in my antilibrary queue to be read after I finish with Luttwak.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grand Strategies: Literature, Statecraft, and World Order\u00a0by Charles Hill Heard way too many good things about this book from regular commenters like Scott Shipman (read his review here) to ignore it.
