They can be entirely frivolous, as is this one, for instance:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/zenpundit.com\/?attachment_id=19553\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-19553\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/chicagoboyz.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/QUOhorticulture.jpg\" height=\"642\" width=\"602\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>with its touch of gothic &#8212; a taste I share with my friend <a href=\"http:\/\/infocult.typepad.com\/\">Bryan Alexander<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Or they can work like a <strong>Necker cube<\/strong>, offering opposite <strong>framings<\/strong> with which to view a single topic &#8212; in this case, <strong>video games<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/zenpundit.com\/?attachment_id=19555\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-19555\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/chicagoboyz.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/QUOterrorists-and-spies.gif\" height=\"642\" width=\"602\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They can also work like Rorschach blots &#8212; this one compares two prophecies, one from the Quran and one from a contemporary Christian prophet (if I&#8217;m not mistaken, President Obama quoted him recently) &#8212;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/zenpundit.com\/?attachment_id=19554\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-19554\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/chicagoboyz.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/QUOprophetic.gif\" height=\"642\" width=\"602\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8212; but it is left up to the reader to determine the value of each&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>And they can also pose fundamental questions of preference:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/zenpundit.com\/?attachment_id=19556\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-19556\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/chicagoboyz.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/QUOsahara.gif\" height=\"642\" width=\"602\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Has <strong>science simply replaced myth<\/strong>, d&#8217;you think? or is <strong>science for the facts<\/strong>, perhaps, and the mind &#8212; while poetry and myth are <strong>for the heart, and truth?<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[ by Charles Cameron ] You know, I really enjoy building my DoubleQuotes.
