<\/p>\nGoing to try to catch up this week\u00a0on the backlog of book reviews I need to do, particularly those books sent to me by publishers. I may have to break down and do a set of mini-reviews, so far behind I have gotten myself.<\/p>\n
So, naturally, that was a suitable pretext to order more books \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

STRATEGY: The Logic of War and Peace<\/a><\/strong> by Edward Luttwak<\/strong><\/p>\n War Before Civilization<\/a><\/strong> by Lawrence H.\u00a0Keeley<\/strong><\/p>\n WAR: In Human Civilization<\/a><\/strong> by Azar Gat<\/strong><\/p>\n The World of Yesterday<\/strong> <\/a>by Stefan Zweig<\/strong><\/p>\n Why the West Rules – For Now<\/a><\/strong> by Ian Morris<\/strong><\/p>\n Luttwak’s book is a strategy classic and I\u00a0recently enjoyed his Grand Strategy of the Byzantine Empire<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0I first heard of Stefan Zweig<\/strong> from Lexington Green<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0but nearly everyone who has read The World of Yesterday<\/strong> that I have encountered has raved about it, so I am looking forward to that one.\u00a0Why the West Rules- For Now<\/strong> is another rec from the Chicago Boyz<\/strong> crowd but I do not think that anyone has reviewed it there as of yet.
