In a few days, I will be headed to the US Army War College<\/a><\/strong> to become a new member<\/strong> of their National Security Seminar<\/strong><\/a>, an honor I owe entirely\u00a0to the kind offices of Dr. Steven Metz<\/strong>, as Big Steve saw fit to nominate me. Once at Carlisle<\/strong>, I will have the opportunity to participate with AWC<\/strong> students\u00a0in a variety of sessions and discussions related to national security and strategy and\u00a0hear speakers who are top experts in their field. The keynote, if\u00a0I understand correctly, will be given by General David Petraeus<\/strong>. The liason assigned to me, Col. Richard “Flip” Wilson<\/strong>, has been gracious and friendly and I am very much looking forward to visiting the War College, meeting new friends\u00a0and learning a thing or two.<\/p>\n My blogging here at ZP<\/strong> may be erratic next week, though Charles<\/strong> and Scott<\/strong>\u00a0will carry on in my absence, but I will try to put up a few items or pictures as time and internet connectivity\u00a0permits. Twitter <\/strong>may be a much\u00a0better bet for frequent updates and I can be followed @zenpundit<\/strong> <\/a>for readers who are interested.<\/p>\n
