Waltz<\/a>,<\/strong> a fellow at the\u00a0New America Foundation<\/a><\/strong> and former DoD<\/strong> and NSC<\/strong> official in the second Bush<\/strong> and the Obama<\/strong> administrations as well as a twice deployed Green Beret<\/a><\/strong> (res.) commander in Afghanistan<\/strong>. An expert in counterterrorism, counternarcotics policy and unconventional warfare, Waltz is the author of\u00a0Warrior Diplomat<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>( see my review here <\/strong>at Pragati Magazine<\/strong><\/a>).
