That\u2019s not acceptable.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HillaryClinton\/status\/713529061088346114\">March 26, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That was March 26th this year.<\/p>\n<p>I have a certain fondness for the <strong>Medici<\/strong>, who sponsored the Platonic Academy under <strong>Marsilio Ficino<\/strong>, and more or less gave us the Florentine Renaissance, and for <strong>Paul <\/strong>and <strong>Mary Conover Mellon<\/strong>, who sponsored the magnificant <strong>Bollingen Series<\/strong> of books, starting with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abebooks.com\/servlet\/BookDetailsPL?bi=15401336512\">Where the Two Came to Their Father: A Navaho War Ceremonial<\/a>, <strong>Joseph Campbell<\/strong>&#8216;s collaboration with <strong>Jeff King<\/strong> and <strong>Maud Oakes<\/strong>..<\/p>\n<p>But then I&#8217;m also highly appreciative of St <strong>Francis<\/strong>, the poverello of Assisi.. go figure.<\/p>\n<p>Thing is, <strong>Bernie Sanders<\/strong> had tweeted pretty much the same thing just a week earlier:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It&#39;s unacceptable that, last year, the top 25 hedge fund managers earned more income than 425,000 public school teachers.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Bernie Sanders (@SenSanders) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenSanders\/status\/711216185111617536\">March 19, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>**<\/p>\n<p>But hey, wait a minute, Hilary had also tweeted in June of 2015:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">What&#39;s wrong with this picture? <a href=\"http:\/\/t.co\/GnytNmNS7A\">pic.twitter.com\/GnytNmNS7A<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HillaryClinton\/status\/609752147459219456\">June 13, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8212; so now who has the &#8220;first mover&#8221; advantage? &#8212; plus she had graphics!<\/p>\n<p>&#8212; and hold on, even that tweet drew an almost immediate tweet-back in refutation:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The fact that many of your major donors, and your son-in-law, are hedge fund managers? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/TA6ThYyTLc\">https:\/\/t.co\/TA6ThYyTLc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Marc Andreessen (@pmarca) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pmarca\/status\/609839819779276800\">June 13, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8212; from the redoubtable <strong>Marc Andreessen<\/strong>, no less.<\/p>\n<p>**<\/p>\n<p>Nor are those the only ways those tweets of hers can bounce back on the Clinton campaign.
