Greene<\/strong> in her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Social-Their-Families-Modern-Applications\/dp\/0202361829\">Social Work with the Aged and Their Families<\/a> (p. 100) lists questions nurses routinely asked by physician using Kahn&#8217;s <strong>Mental Status Questionnaire<\/strong>. I&#8217;m only too aware of these, having been subjected to these questions regularly over the past year..<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>5. What year is it?<br \/>\n6. How old are you?<br \/>\n7. What is your birthday?<br \/>\n8. What year were you born?<br \/>\n9. Who is President of the United States?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>They are going to ask President Trump these questions, I immagine, as part of his overall medical evaluation. But that last one:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Who is President of the United States?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That&#8217;s an ouroboric question right there &#8212; what will he say?<\/p>\n<p>If he says, President Trump, then he&#8217;s third-personalizing himself, and that&#8217;s diagnostically called <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Illeism\">illeism<\/a><\/strong>: <strong>Julius Caesar<\/strong> uses the third person in describing his French campaigns in <em>De Bello Gallico<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>But if he avoids that third person usage &#8212;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Me! It&#8217;s me!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That would suggest he may be uncertain of his victory over <strong>Secretary Clinton<\/strong> back when &#8212; after all, she won the popular vote!<\/p>\n<p>**<\/p>\n<p>Oh the ouroboros! Oh the dilemma!<\/p>\n<p>I had one of those medical questionnaires this morning. My conclusion: the questionnaire or routinized test has not yet been devised that doesn&#8217;t seem faintly ridiculous..<\/p>\n<p>Please note that Roberta Greene&#8217;s work currently costs $100 as a <em>book<\/em> book.
