Arthur Silber, who is probably more widely read for his anti-war views than anything else, recently wrote a thoughtful essay on the origins of the intellectual civil war that still prevails among the ranks of Objectivists<\/a>, the followers of the late philosopher and novelist Ayn Rand<\/a>. Silber, unlike many commentators who venture forth on Objectivism, actually knew Ayn Rand and attended the lectures run by Nathaniel Branden<\/a> prior to his ” excommunication” over the end of the extramarital affair he was having with Rand.
