Here are some fragmentary efforts:<\/p>\n<p>I just finished reading\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/The-Hunt-KSM-Takedown-Mastermind\/dp\/0316186597\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1336409818&amp;sr=8-1\">The Hunt for KSM<\/a><\/strong> and will be reviewing it, hopefully, in a few days and I&#8217;m moving on to the much talked about <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/The-Snake-Eaters-ebook\/dp\/B005FLNZEC\/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1336409856&amp;sr=1-1\">The Snake-Eaters<\/a><\/strong>, by<strong> Owen West<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of which, <strong>Carl Prine<\/strong> has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lineofdeparture.com\/2012\/05\/03\/the-snake-eaters\/\">an intense interview<\/a> with Major West which follows on the heels of<a href=\"http:\/\/smallwarsjournal.com\/jrnl\/art\/qa-with-owen-west-advisors-in-iraq\"> the one at <strong>SWJ<\/strong>\u00a0conducted by <strong>Peter J. Munson<\/strong><\/a> (also a Major&#8230;.guess it was a &#8220;major&#8221; interview \ud83d\ude42 )<\/p>\n<p>For the Boydians out there, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/fasttransients.wordpress.com\/\">Dr. Chet Richards<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/chuckspinney.blogspot.com\/\">Chuck Spinney<\/a><\/strong> have <a href=\"http:\/\/fasttransients.wordpress.com\/2012\/05\/06\/new-edit-of-patterns-of-conflict\/\">released a newly edited version<\/a> of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_Boyd_(military_strategist)\">Colonel John Boyd&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> famous brief, <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fasttransients.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/03\/patternsofconflict.pdf\">Patterns of Conflict<\/a><\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Venkat Rao<\/strong> has<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ribbonfarm.com\/2012\/05\/03\/rediscovering-literacy\/#more-3238\"> excellent observations<\/a> for communicating effectively, with impact (really, for refining thought).<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Somewhat overloaded at the moment with many small tasks so my blogging efforts are likely to be erratic this week.
