Please excuse the limited posting this weekend as I had some family obligations that took priority over normal activities. I will try to respond to the comments made yesterday later this evening.
The following op-eds were jointly endorsed by Bruce Kesler and Dr. Klinghoffer today and I add my name in calling them ” must reads”:
“The Promise of Democratic Peace” by Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice
” Moving toward a Responsible Exit Strategy in Iraq” by Fmr. Secretary of State Henry
Kissinger
Historian Bevin Alexander in an article for DNI comes to remarkably similar conclusions to mine about what should be done in Iraq.
The cognitive root of military power is examined in a wind-ranging and very Boydian piece from RAND, entitled ” Neocortical Warfare “(PDF) by Richard Szafranski
An even more directly Boydian analysis ” The Non-Linear Dynamics of War” by Dr. Linda P. Beckerman
That’s it.

A good contrast between Dr. Rice and Dr. Kissinger. Dr. Rice focuses on democratization to bring peace, while Dr. Kissinger looks at state-centric solutions (getting the army to be loyal to the state instead of some other group, etc). Rice leans towards liberalism while Kissinger is sympathetic to realism.
I agree with Rice.
