Not a bad reminder that we tend to overexaggerate our response to potential threats that end up being minor annoyances? I’m hoping that Chertoff gets cracking on revising the DHS color-code threat advisory and we can get some sane response options in place – some day. It’s a dream…

Fortunately, we did not shoot down the Governor of Kentucky today. Evidently somebody didn’t do their job because he had clearance to be flying there.
Don’t hold your breath. There’s not really much the government can do in terms of giving the public meaningful warnings in terms of terrorism without jeopardizing their ability to give meaningful warnings. A catch-22.
