  1. Dave Dilegge:

Other than John Robb, Adam Elkus, Stratfor, Fabius Maximus and a few other small blog sites, is anybody paying regular attention to our Southern neighbor becoming a failed state ?

More so than most – Lt. John Sullivan of the LASD.

  2. zen:

Good point Dave. Credit where credit is due. Lt. Sullivan sort of fuses in my mind with Adam as I’ve met and have contact with Adam but not yet with Sullivan. I’ll add him to the line up.

  3. Fabius Maximus:

Stratfor provides excellent coverge of events in Mexico.

  5. A.E.:

Thanks for the link! Sullivan and I frequently collaborate on criminal insurgency topics, but he was on the ball since the early 1990s in tracking the growth of cartel operations.

  6. Lexington Green:

Naveh’s slides may have brilliant text — haven’t read ’em yet — but they sure do NOT work as slides.

  7. zen:

No, they don’t. Effectively, they are his lecture notes. Evidently Naveh is not in sync with the visual part of his visual presentations

  8. Lexington Green:

Naveh needs some artsy fartsy guy with an earring to run his visuals.
