Throw Another Book on the Pile….
A while back, Dr. Tom Barnett shared his reading bibliography for writing Book III. Since then, I’ve seen book posts by Brad at Potbanger’s, HistoryGuy99 at HG’s World and at The Strategist. All well worth taking a look at and moreover, they have all inspired me to set my newest additions into Slideshare, a picture being worth a thousand words.

Black Swan is definitely recommended. I put up a reading post of my own here a week ago or so.

A picture tells us the the “what”, but not the “how good?” and “worth reading?” and “what I learned”. How about a two sentence blurb each?

Just bought’em Lex but I’ll bring the slideshow back with a review section when I’m finished.
Adrian has some nice books up too.

I second Adrian’s recommendation. I see Tournament of Shadows in there. Mark, have you read Peter Hopkirk’s The Great Game?

Hi Jay,
Yes I have and it was great – though not as good as Grousset’s classic Empire of the Steppes. That was even better.
