I’ve met Hilary Hahn and seen her perform in person. She’s very nice and an excellent musician.

Bringing together one of the videos above (the one dealing with linguistic cognitive theory) with a common theme of yours, Islam, it seems to me that there is a degree to which Islam is a stalking horse for Arab culture and the Arabic language. The common if not universal insistence that the Qur’an can only be understood in Arabic institutionalizes that.
.
That in turn suggests that the Arabic language informs the deep culture of those who profess Islam. I don’t know enough about the Arabic language to tell you the implications of that but I’m pretty confident it’s true.
