Joining the Squirearchy
I must offer my profound thanks to Shane Deichman, Esquire of Wizards of Oz and IATGR. On the strength of his recommendation, I, Mark the Zenpundit, have been admitted to the august ranks of the Tennesse Squire Association, sponsored by the honorable and venerable Jack Daniels Distillery, maker of America’s finest spirits. I am at once humbled and bursting with aristocratic presence.
Rest assured, I will put on no airs due to my new rank of Squire, though I may quietly lobby for a baronetcy from the British Crown.

Zen, Happy to oblige — especially since you have shown your taste for Jack’s finer wares on your ‘blog! (The "Survival Kit" with the bottle of Jack’s Single Barrel is justification enough to admit you to the esteemed ranks of Squires.)

Congratulations! I like Jack Daniels, when I visit Texas I always try to get good American whiskey, I also enjoy bourbons like Maker’s Mark sometimes, but I always keep a Jack Daniels.Didn’t know anything about the "squierarchy" though. I am happy for you.

Do we have to take a knee when reading your blog?

Hi Barnabus,
Just a touch to the cap is all. ;o)
Hi Jose,
The best bourbon I ever drank was on a small island on the Canadian side of Lake Superior. It was poured by an old USN fighter pilot who was in every major aerial battle in WWII’s Pacific theater except the Coral Sea and had several cabins on the island. He drank it neat and in impressive quantities and told a lot of good yarns.
Hi Shane,
We’ll have to make that "Squire Room" come spring. :O)

I have been a Jack Daniel’s fan for over 30 years. I would love to be a Jack Daniel’s Squire, but I don’t know one to sponsor me.
Can someone please help me, I would be very grateful.
Thanks,
Frank
